Nine Inch Nails 'Survivalism' offered for GarageBand

Nine Inch Nails’ new album “Year Zero” hits the streets in April. The first single from the album, “Survivalism,” is already available for purchase from the iTunes Store, and if you want to take a crack and mixing it yourself, a GarageBand version is available for download from the Nine Inch Nails Web site, for free.
This isn’t the first time that Trent Reznor, Nine Inch Nails’ founder and creative force, has created a GarageBand project. Reznor, whose uses Macs to create his groundbreaking brand of industrial dance music, has created GarageBand projects for past projects like “The Hand that Feeds” and “Only.”
Reznor has explained in the past that his motivation in releasing multitrack versions of his songs is to offer fans of his music an opportunity to explore and experiment. Past releases have resulted in hundreds of different remixes.
The multitrack version of Survivalism requires Mac OS X and GarageBand 3. It should also work in Logic and other Apple Loops-compatible software.
