Nine Inch Nails completely demolished the barrier between the metal and alternative realms with the release of The Downwind Spiral. Oozing with dark sexuality, emotional despair, ominous synth lines and distorted vocals, The Downward Spiral numbs the mind and tempts the body with a deep, seductive musical kiss that lasts hours after the last song has ended.
