Making the Scene (May 4-10, 1988)

By Staff for Scene on May 4, 1989

Keyboardist Trent Reznor has brought good news back to the home-front. Reznor's current project, Nine Inch Nails, has been signed to TVT Records out of New York City. The deal, whose final details are still being worked out, involves a multiple record contract. Reznor recently put the finishing touches on the first 12-inch release from the debut album. "Down In It" was co-produced by Reznor with Keith LeBlanc and Big Dog Adrian Sherwood and should see the light of day around mid-summer. As for the album, which does not yet have a working title, the plans are still up the in the air. Although Nine Inch Nails is actually a solo project, Reznor will be teaming up with a variety of players to fill out the album, and presumably, to tour.
