Trent Reznor's Lost Highway Drops Feb. 11

Goldie, Jack Dangers, And Coil Remix 'Perfect Drug'
The Lost Highway soundtrack, which includes the Trent Reznor track "Perfect Drug" as well as new material from Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson, David Bowie, and Lou Reed, is finally slated for a Feb. 11 release on Reznor's nothing label, which is distributed by Interscope Records.
The soundtrack, which allstar told you about last September, was pushed back from its original release date of Nov. 26, 1996 because the Nine Inch Nails frontman was completing work on the band's album, and because the label wanted the soundtrack's release to coincide with that of the David Lynch film, which will be in theaters on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14, for you romantically challenged readers).
Apparently, the single "Perfect Drug" has already hit the public. Los Angeles' radio station KROQ radio aired the song in November without the label's consent, which prompted nothing to ask KROQ to cease and desist. Officially, the song can be heard on radio stations Jan. 20. However, the song has also made its way to the Internet for downloading, though Interscope and Reznor's publicists cannot confirm or deny it.
Reznor's "Perfect Drug" is also being remixed three times, by such mixmasters as Goldie, Jack Dangers, and Coil, who will each take the track and reshape it in their own unique style.
