Nine Inch Nails Line Up European Shows, But States Must Wait

By Robert Mancini for MTV on September 1, 1999

Trent Reznor and his Nine Inch Nails counterparts are lining up a string of shows in Europe, though spokespeople for the group say it's too soon to call the outing a full-blown tour and that fans should not expect to see NIN in the States before next year.

The band is set to play nine shows in Spain, France, and Germany in late November and two at London's famed Brixton Academy on November 29 and December 1. However, the band's record label says that NIN is not planning to play in the States before next year. If you're willing to make the trek to London, tickets for those shows go on sale this weekend.

While the band won't be hitting the road to support the recently released album "The Fragile" in the U.S. in the near future, Nine Inch Nails might have some room to coast. Early buzz is that the band's new album will debut at number one when SoundScan releases its weekly sales figures on Wednesday morning. (As always, we will have a complete report on Wednesday afternoon).
