Nine Inch Nails Sets Dates For Spring U.S. Tour

After touring Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, Nine Inch Nails has just announced dates for its first North American tour in five years, an outing scheduled to begin on April 12 in Cleveland.
Nine Inch Nails currently plans to play 45 concerts in 10 weeks for its "Fragility v2.0" tour, the first nine of which were released today by the band's label, Nothing Records. The full itinerary for the NIN tour is expected to be confirmed in the next few weeks.
The upcoming gigs will mark the first time that Nine Inch Nails' will have toured the U.S. in support of its critically-acclaimed 1999 double album, "The Fragile," which has sold some 690,000 copies in America since its released last September, according to SoundScan.
For the live incarnation of the band, NIN auteur Trent Reznor has drafted the services of guitarist-keyboardist Danny Lohner (one of Reznor's primary recording accomplices on "The Fragile"), guitarist-keyboardist Robin Finck, keyboardist Charlie Clouser, and drummer Jerome Dillon.
As we reported last week (see "Nine Inch Nails Taps A Perfect Circle For U.S. Tour"), A Perfect Circle, a band featuring Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel, will open up for NIN on the "Fragility v2.O" shows.
