NINE INCH NAILS RECEIVE A 2000 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARD NOMINATION IN THE "BREAKTHROUGH VIDEO" CATEGORY FOR "INTO THE VOID"

July 25, 2000 - nine inch nails' video for "Into The Void" has received a nomination for a 2000 MTV Video Music Award in the "Breakthrough Video" category. "Into The Void" is the second single released from nine inch nails' multi-platinum, critically acclaimed CD "The Fragile". The video features extreme close-ups of nine inch nails' lead Trent Reznor as well as performance shots of the band. The other nominees in the "Breakthrough Video" category are Björk, Blur, Chemical Brothers, and Supergrass.

nine inch nails has just completed the "Fragility 2.0" tour, a 43 city, sold-out U.S. tour as well as two weeks of major European festivals. The band has recently returned to nothing studios in New Orleans to begin work on new music, as well as video editing and audio mixing for an upcoming live project.
