Hurt My friends and I arrived at the concert relatively early, got in, found our seats (wish i had had floor, i hate you ticketmaster). Aphex Twin (i think) played while we waited for APC to come onstage. APC came onstage, Maynard had a long brown wig (i think) on. He acted like he was completely trashed, stumbling around the stage. They started off thier set with the songs Hollow and Magdalena. Before the song Thinking of You, he said "this is a lovesong." after Thinking of You, he said that the next song was dedicated to Elian something (i didn't catch the last name, i think it's the cuban boy tho), he also stated that the next song wouldn't be on the cd, because it dosen't belong to them. They then went into the song Diary of a Lovesong, the half Black Sabbath half The Cure cover song. After that they played Orestes, and after Orestes, i can't remember which songs they played in which order. I do however know that the song Three Libras was one of them. After the group of songs i can't remember, Maynard said something to the effect of "for those of you waiting for Nine Inch Nails, these will be our last two songs", after which they Played Rose and then Judith. Overall i think APC put on a great show, but i don't think the crowd responded as well as they would have if they knew the songs. I think the NIN setlist was excellent, a nice blend of old and new (I was hoping for Something I can Never Have and Reptile though). During the "nothing can stop me now, cause i don't care anymore" part of Piggy, trent fell or intentionally went down in front of the stage right in front of the audience. Needless to say, the crowd right there went insane, and trent's vocals suffered a bit, probably from the crowd attempting to get to him. Before they played Suck, Trent said "this is one of our favourite songs of all time." I'm reasonably sure they extended Suck a bit, and even if they didn't, it was amazing. I thought TDTWWA was simply extended at the time, but now i'm pretty sure they did JLYI. Before Starfuckers, Inc., Trent said something to the effect of: "this is a song about a friend of mine." During Starfuckers, I'm pretty sure Trent has some microphone trouble, because they extended it, and while they were playing, I saw a roadie hastily trying to do something to Trent's mic. After the roadie left the stage, they jumped back into the song and completed it. Then they went into Hurt, which was the perfect way to finish the evening. Overall I think the entire concert was just amazing, from the opening band, to the setlists, to the lighting. | ![]() |
